The Power of Plant Medicine as a Cure for the Coronavirus

Traditional medicine is more than the study of plants. It embodies a study of the whole person, mind, body and spirit through many modalities. Traditional medicine has its origins in Africa, India, China, even Germany, Costa Rica and many nations all have a rich history in traditional medicine. Knowledge of the plants used for medicine is often passed down from a grandparent who may have a love for identifying, growing and harvesting medicinal plants.

In my profession, there are naturopathic physicians, doctors of naturopathy, master herbalists, acupuncturists, iridologists and many designations of natural healthcare professionals around the world. I’m calling for us to unite and fight back by finding a plant to defeat the coronavirus.

I look at the news and I’m alarmed not just because of the coronavirus’s global shut down, but because there is no one talking about the power of plant medicine or traditional medicine.  Almost everyone is overlooking the plants. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. There are incredible movements for all things green. The WHO, World Health Organization, wants to work with the practitioners of natural medicine to integrate natural medicine with national healthcare system, according to their website.  Now more than ever, we need to work together to help our brothers and sisters internationally.

I would like to offer a plant to be tested that can defeat the coronavirus. This came about after I had read the report from a top virologist in Wuhan. She said it’s called corona virus because the bug looks like it’s wearing a crown  She was known as ‘The Bat Woman, because she had hunted down bats in China’s caves to collect their sample droppings for an antidote for SARS another corona type virus. “Well good luck finding the bat that caused the coronavirus so we can get the antidote and put it into a vaccine for the world to be healed,” is what I was thinking. It led me to think that there is definitely a plant that could knock out the coronavirus.  I knew of one such plant and I quickly went to my juice bar and got some and brought it home for testing. I brewed a cup of loose tea with the herb. It worked fine, after 1 day, it knocked out the common flu. I then researched my mystical herb and found that it has been studied as having anti-viral properties, high anti-oxidants, anti-cancer, support for the immune system and many more wonderful properties.

I would love to tell you the name of the herb that can bring so much healing to the world. But the world is not paying attention and this essay would be ignored just as the leaves are. This is breaking news. The world has overlooked plant medicine for too long. We need a seat at the table to discuss the power in plant medicine. Please share this essay with everyone you know. 5 Ways in 5 Days to Lose 5lbs & Live Healthier


Almost everyone is looking for the best way to stay fit and healthy. Diets come and go, as does the weight. One minute you’re fit and trim, the next minute your clothes don’t fit. Weight needs to be managed just as much as stress does. Stress causes us to overeat and consume the wrong foods and beverages. So here are some pointers from a naturopathic doctor who is well familiar with the struggle to stay fit and healthy.

1. It’s important to connect to a higher power by having faith and to believe in yourself and that you can do whatever you set your mind to. Our bodies are wired to listen to our brains. The human mind is very powerful and it is in charge of our body. It is not the body that should dictate what you do but your mind. Have you ever seen a king walking and his servant riding on the horse?

2. Use natural foods and herbal supplements like Schisandra berries or Ashwaghanda to manage your stress hormones. In addition to fun sweaty exercise, also known as exercise, it’s good to take natural supplements that can boost brain power, energy, will power, mood and vitality. I love Schisandra berries and so do my clients. When you’re feeling a little flustered, a cup of Schisandra berries tea will make you relax and not take out your stress on those closest to you, as humans tend to do. They are definitely not your typical berry. This dynamic superberry counters stress by reducing the number of stress hormones in the blood. It is considered an adaptogen, meaning that it can adapt to the broad needs of your body. Schisandra helps to decrease fatigue and improve mental and physical endurance. Many athletes use the superberry to improve performance. Schisandra berries also help the liver to function well, it aids the digestion system and boosts the immune system. In addition, Schisandra fights cancer cells by boosting immunity. It also beautifies the skin. To make a Schisandra berry wine tonic, soak the berries in a wine for about three to four weeks. You can also make a tea by boiling or steeping the berries, add a bit of honey and enjoy the unusual taste and thrilling benefits of these dynamic little berries.

3. Detoxify your body and your blood by making a tea out of burdock and dandelion leaves, ginger, cascara sagrada, and peppermint leaves. Drink lots of water. Eliminate by going to bathroom often. Use 1 tsp of the above to 1 liter of water, boil for 5 minutes and let cool. Drink a very small teacup each morning.

4. Take a 5 day watermelon fast or flush if you are physically able to. Check with your doctor first. In those five days, you can eat as much watermelon as you like, juice the watermelon, drink lots of water, lots of herbal tea.

5. Do a steam therapy detox or steam sauna once or twice during the five days. Drink lots of water to replenish all the fluids lost. Ask your doctor if you are ill or have health issues before going on this regimen.
